Bildung Tomorrow
The foundation for sustainable education.
The Sinnbildungsstiftung was established in 2019 on the initiative of Sinnstifter as a co-foundation of the Innovation Foundation for Education of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF). Its goal is the sustainable improvement of education quality and educational opportunities through innovative programs.
In a strong network of 14 private foundations and one public foundation, committed donors pool their know-how, networks, and resources. They are all united by the common goal of making effective contributions to the field of education and actively shaping social change.
Together with its main program Bildünger, the platform for internationally networked educational support, the Sinnbildungsstiftung identifies and supports forward-looking initiatives that explore new paths and develop concrete solutions. It sees itself as a bridge-builder between governmental and civil society education stakeholders as well as between the formal education system and extracurricular educational work.
In the form of a public-private partnership, the foundation ensures the highest quality standards and combines resources and expertise from both sectors. In addition to financial support, it places special emphasis on skills development, knowledge transfer, and professional quality management.
The origin of this commitment lies in the initiative Sinnstifter, founded in 2010, which laid the foundation for more effective collaboration among philanthropic actors in Austria. One of the driving forces behind it: People Share.
Today, the Sinnbildungsstiftung initiates projects with courage, cooperation, and innovation that rethink education — making it sustainable, equitable, and future-oriented.
#learningforthefuture — that’s what we stand for.
